Aries Season : I Would Rather Be Called a Fool Than a Coward

Everything I have ever done was very foolish of me. For what is an Emperor but a Fool who believed in himself ?

In Tarot, the Major Arcana suit starts with the Fool, who has no idea where he is headed but at least knows that his journey is necessary for growth. His journey reminds us that creation is only possible from chaos and that sometimes starting from zero is the only way to go forward. Ironically, the Fool card is sometimes numbered as 22 instead of 0; the entire allegory of the Fool is about how close wisdom is to foolishness and what lies between the two is the risk we take. Would the Fool had been able to become an Emperor or an Empress and had seen the World if he had never started his journey ?

I lead my life as a Fool and I take great pride in my “foolish” decisions and “crazy” ideas and the craziest thing is that each one of those decisions has led me to something better. My only fear now is being called a coward and repressing my desire for freedom.

Today, I am a fool in every sense of the term. I am a fool for believing in grand love, i am a fool for saying yes to everything that makes me happy, I am a fool for quitting everything and starting again, I am a fool for believing in the cosmos’ alignment with my path, I am a fool for accepting loss and moving on, and I am the biggest fool for admitting that I am one.

If you want to lead your life as a Fool rather than a coward, you must believe in Spring. Spring comes every year and reminds us that our nature is cyclical and choosing to lead linear lives is choosing to neglect our own nature. The more we run away from painful endings, the less we experience blissful new beginnings. The more we run away from our faith, the less we experience strokes of luck. The Sun’s exaltation in Mars ruled Aries emphasizes that the essence of life revolves around rebirth and noble mistakes. It is natural to be in limbo between creation and destruction, for we are children of the sun.
